Anne-Sophie Rodriguez

An alumna of San Francisco Ballet School, Anne-Sophie Rodriguez is honored and grateful to return to her original artistic home to help inspire the next generation. With certifications in Classical Dance Instruction for elementary, intermediate, and advanced classes from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher Training Program, in Character Dance from Inna Stabrova, as well as in Yoga from Janet Stone, Anne-Sophie teaches a variety of classes that help students become technically and artistically well-rounded, healthy dancers.

Born and raised in France where her first teachers included Colette Armand, Anne-Sophie received the majority of her training at San Francisco Ballet School. After graduating from Boston Ballet School, class of Madame Tatiana Nicolaevna Legat, she danced with companies including Boston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, the Norwegian National Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and Ballet Internationale.

Anne-Sophie started teaching in 2005 when former SF Ballet Soloist Edward Ellison, himself an SFBS graduate and former Faculty member, asked her to teach at Ellison Ballet, his newly opened school in New York City. She then taught at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Ballet Arts, and served as Pentacle’s Behind the Scenes Choreography Mentor at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts. Upon her return to the Bay Area, Anne-Sophie became esteemed faculty for City Ballet San Francisco for six years prior to joining the San Francisco Ballet School faculty.
